Paediatric First Aid

Overview:
A 1-day course focused on first aid for infants and young children.

Who it’s for:

  • Schools

  • Nurseries

  • Childcare providers

  • Anyone responsible for children

Duration:
1 day (6 hours)

Covers:

  • Infant and child CPR

  • Choking (infants and children)

  • Unconscious casualty

  • Bleeding and shock

  • Seizures and allergic reactions

Qualification:
Level 3 Emergency Paediatric First Aid (valid 3 years)

Emergency First Aid at Work

Overview:
A 1-day practical course covering essential life-saving first aid skills for workplaces.

Who it’s for:

  • Low-risk workplaces

  • Schools and small organisations

Duration:
1 day (6 hours)

Covers:

  • CPR and AED use

  • Unconscious casualty

  • Choking

  • Bleeding and shock

  • Basic incident management

Qualification:
Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work (valid 3 years)

First Aid at Work

Overview:
A comprehensive 3-day course for designated workplace first aiders.

Who it’s for:

  • Higher-risk environments

  • Larger organisations

Duration:
3 days (18 hours)

Covers:

  • Full CPR/AED training

  • Major illness and injury

  • Fractures and spinal injuries

  • Burns and medical conditions

  • Incident management

Qualification:
Level 3 First Aid at Work (valid 3 years)

Additional: Life-threatening Bleeds Module

Overview:
Practical training in managing severe bleeding using modern techniques and equipment.

About Us

Based in Canterbury, Kent; Horizon First Aid delivers high-quality first aid training across Kent and the South East.

With a strong background in education, our training focuses on practical, hands-on learning to ensure participants leave confident and capable in real-life emergencies.

Horizon First Aid is led by an experienced teacher and cadet instructor, supported by a fellow cadet instructor with paramedic training experience. We deliver practical, real-world training designed to build confidence in genuine emergency situations.

By using this website or booking a course with Horizon First Aid, you agree to the following:

Bookings & Payment: All bookings are subject to availability, payment terms will be agreed at booking & certificates may be withheld until full payment is received.

Cancellations: Cancellations must be made in writing, notice periods and refund terms will be confirmed at booking & Horizon First Aid may reschedule or cancel where necessary.

Course Attendance: Full attendance is required for certification, late arrival or absence may result in non-certification & disruptive behaviour may result in removal from the course.

Certification: Certification is awarded upon successful completion & certificates are issued via the awarding body (e.g. FAA).

Health & Safety: Learners must follow all safety instructions & participation in practical activities is at the learner’s own risk.

Equality & Access: Training is delivered in line with equality and accessibility commitments & reasonable adjustments will be made where possible.

Data Protection: Personal data is handled in accordance with our Data Protection Policy.

Complaints & Appeals: please refer to our Complaints and Appeals Policies.

Liability: Horizon First Aid takes all reasonable care in delivery & liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.
